The purpose of the database merchandiser is to ensure that the performance and integrity of the company’s merchandise database is exceptional. The database is Excel and Access driven so advanced skills in both is essential. Due to the complex nature of the Excel work involved the ideal candidate will have advanced/expert Excel skills and will be familiar and very comfortable working with pivot tables and filters.
The ideal candidate for the database merchandiser role will have a logical and methodical mind, will be fully conversant with Excel spreadsheets in particular the creating and using of filters, pivot tables and Vlookups and will be a team player who is confident and capable with a positive "can-do" attitude.
