Principal Responsibility

For our upcoming online retail business, we’re looking for a Head of E-commerce Merchandizing, or essentially, a Product Champion – someone who has an eye for the trendiest products in a variety of verticals, with laser focus on profitability and the P&L side of products.

You will interface with the individual Buying/Merchandising teams of our various businesses and ensure that we have the optimal product mix at any given time. You will also collaborate with our Content, Design and Business teams to ensure that your carefully selected products reflect quickly and accurately on our e-commerce site.

Key Responsibilities 

Deliver our retail e-commerce merchandising vision through careful product selection from participating concepts and concept merchandising teams.

Organize web merchandise for each participating concept

Work cross-functionally with site merchandisers, vendor managers and external vendors to identify key trends.

Track and analyze sales information to inform short and long term business planning, seasonal product development strategies, and weekly merchandising tactics

Develop product initiatives that align with key category/classification strategies for chain and internet to drive profitability.

Ensure product trendiness and profitability contextual to the company’s target customers and market positioning.​ 

Collaborate with individual concept buying/merchandising teams to deeply understand each participating concept’s product, marketing and seasonal cycles and calendars.

Partner with the Content Production team to ensure that the high-quality content generated by them is in sync with the optimal mix of selected products.

Ensure the right product mix from various concepts for boutique/collection/theme pages.

Build the E-commerce Merchandising team as needed for better concept-level product merchandizing.

Develop monthly and weekly merchandising strategies that support total category initiatives while generating sales and profitability.

Analyze the performance on  merchandise and drive ways to innovate and improve selections with concepts

Participate and lead merchandise   update meetings to present progress, learnings,  projections or share trends and insights.

Report to the Head of E-commerce and fulfill a key leadership role in the company.​
