NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – SEIKO WATCHES

SEIKO UK Limited is the wholly-owned UK subsidiary of the Seiko Watch Corporation of Tokyo, Japan.
Their brands include SEIKO, PULSAR and LORUS watches and SEIKO clocks.
Additionally our client is the UK distributor for TED BAKER and KENNETH COLE Watches.
Globally, consumer recognition of the SEIKO brand continues to eclipse virtually every other watch manufacturing name; high profile partners at the forefront of world sport – tennis player Novak Djokovic and the rising star of Russian athletics Daraya Klishina - underscore their commitment to superlative technology, ever striving to produce best of class performance, be it on the court, on the track or on our wrists…
Experience within the UK Watch business will be advantageous though not essential; a background in other technology-rich market sectors is also recognised as having close operational synergy with our client’s speciality. Ideally, your career background will also demonstrate the very best FMCG blue-chip Sales and Marketing pedigree. If a past association has seen success within another equally polished Japanese owned and operated corporation this could additionally be beneficial. What is an absolute must, however, is experience in handling National Account business.
Educationally there should be proof of performance to a high level – we’d expect nothing less than this appointee being of graduate calibre – particularly in view of the future pathway such a high profile role could in the future lead to.
Reporting directly to the company’s Associate Director, this new role has the objective of assisting with the management and development of all channels of distribution, majoring on established sectors including jewellery retailers, department stores and mass merchandisers.
You will be used to operating in a meticulous fashion and have a zest for utilising state-of-the-art technology to determine accurately every sales opportunity, and will thrive in ensuring that mutually agreed trading goals are supported brand-side to ensure the achievement - and where possible surpassing – of best-held buyer store performance expectations.
Gaining new business through hitherto non-trading partners will be an area in which you will quickly gain momentum, ever mindful of the importance of protecting the brand image.
Your talents may also lead and assist internal specialist teams and colleagues to maximise the impact of their own brand endeavours, be it the selection of new lines, development of P.O.S., or the development of in-store marketing collateral to assist brand sellers.
Exciting as this brief is, you will need to demonstrate solid team playing credentials, relating well to our existing well-thought of SEIKO team, recognising their collective achievements to date, but equally demonstrating your own mission to add value and quickly build sales momentum and product listing success within your specifically allocated trading area.
