Alongside CITIZEN watches, this business now distributes several newly-acquired group owned brands including the US major BULOVA, and the Swiss manufactured watch brands ARNOLD & SON, ALPINA and FREDERIQUE CONSTANT.
Committed always to delivering the very best of merchandising service to their retail clientele, an additional Business Development Executive to support all group brands is their current recruitment priority.
The successful candidate will ideally already be deeply involved in watch and jewellery retailing, possibly as a Sales Consultant or Supervisor. Existing store responsibility for Visual Merchandising protocols would be a perfect springboard for your application.
Stepping into the field is the obvious next step in your career journey, calling on a variety of branch outlets from Multiple Retail Jewellers to Departmental Stores.
Your role has two main objectives: firstly to ensure that all group brands are merchandised to the agreed best standards, and secondly to deliver product training marque by marque to ensure optimum sell -through.
You have a deep understanding of the importance of product positioning to a point of perfection, as well as all the everyday pressures of operating in today’s retail landscape.
You are fastidious when it comes to display cleanliness, and unrelenting in your quest to ensure that all stock is ticketed precisely, ready to sell, and displayed to its absolute best.
Your personal style is very collaborative and teamwork oriented, and you have frequently observed that those around you naturally adopt many of the best practices you successfully implement. For you, therefore, training your clients’ sales personnel in the features, benefits and advantages of your brands is equally enjoyable, fully aware as you are that the knowledge you impart to the salespeople at the sharp end will empower them and make a genuine difference to sales performance.
You will also be expected to network constructively with retail senior managers, who will help you to help them achieve the best sell-through performance outcomes.
As perhaps the company’s most frequently seen Ambassador on the ground, you are equally meticulous when it comes to the maintenance of up to date account and call records of each store you visit; the group provides a bespoke sales app to facilitate this.
To support your endeavours in-store you will find every relevant tool is provided to enable you to succeed in this role: iPad, projector and mini screen, lap-top computer, and all Point of Sale items you are permitted to install.
Trade and market specific insights are always appreciated within HQ, and again, the company uses online technology in the form of its own Twitter feed, for just such exchanges of information from the field.
