Reporting to a lead country Visual Merchandiser, the accounts which will benefit from your proven expertise include branches of the recognised elite Multiple Retail Jewellers, as well as a number of equally prestigious Independently-owned and operated jewellery retailers.
Previous experience “on the road” is essential; with such an extensive territory, you will need to appreciate first-hand the daily travel implications of this role. You are likely to have gained this experience in a similar support role, either within the Watch industry or perhaps in the Luxury fashion arena.
This role demands that you constantly attend to the minutest of details – a facility that has already set you apart in your career so far. You are adept at handling brands with an enviable heritage and distinctiveness. The challenge is to ensure that the brand is always a cut above all the imitators, by constantly implementing best practice in every aspect of Visual Merchandising. Uniquely among its peers perhaps, the brand has now embarked upon a programme of regularly changing window graphics and promotional support in-store.
The purchasing experience of the clientele, no matter which destination they choose to visit, must always be unparalleled. Ever empathetic towards everyone you meet, you are a fluent communicator who never tires of responding and reassuring other performers within the theatre that is retail sales.
As well as training the staff in your stores to maintain the displays in excellent order in your absence, you will also derive great satisfaction from ensuring they are conversant to the point of perfection with the brand and the products they curate. Such training may be one-on-one or as a group; whichever format works best for the host stores.
Of course in today’s performance-focused marketplace, you also need to be fluent in IT packages, swift and competent in reporting both brand actuality and opportunity, and always keen to support brand colleagues in whichever way your talents best facilitate.
