Recognised as one of Mayfair’s most respected and knowledgeable jewellers, our client’s selection of jewellery and precious items is sure to captivate almost every passing consumer. Virtually every desirable range can be found: rings, earrings, bracelets, tiaras, necklaces, pendants, brooches and cufflinks. This long-established store showcases a wide range of fine antique, period and vintage jewellery, as well as offering invaluable specialist services including jewellery hire, a custom design and remodelling service, and valuations for insurance and probate purposes. Their expertise also extends to repairing and maintaining customers’ own pre-loved jewellery collections.
With such a comprehensive offering, it should come as no surprise that a further Jewellery Salesperson is now required to join their established in-store team.
Ideally, applicants will already be familiar with the Jewellery business and enjoy working with such beautiful merchandise as my client offers. You will be used to handling jewellery with the utmost care, and have a good eye for ensuring cabinet displays of the highest quality. Industry qualifications such as JET 1, JET 2, GIA or even DGA or FGA would also be advantageous.
Counter service experience will however be the key selection factor. The search is on to identify a jewellery sales enthusiast who is keen to provide customer service with gusto, underpinned by an endearing personality that will help secure and maintain customer loyalty.
You will need to reflect the very best standards of personal presentation, be an articulate communicator, and possess a reassuring level of efficiency in every area of the store’s operational processes. A keen team player, you are driven to be at all times the best possible in-store representative and ambassador.
Your salesmanship skills include the ability to absorb a great many elements of key product knowledge, which you are genuinely interested in relaying to buyers, both in-store and elsewhere.
Able to seize on opportunities beyond that first sale whenever and wherever appropriate, you are recognised as a canny producer of linked purchases.
Training, both formal and on-the-job, will be encouraged as soon as you are settled in and performing. You should expect to be encouraged to push yourself to ever higher levels of trade-recognised competency.
