This flourishing business is one of the UK’s most well-established trade suppliers of fine cultured pearls. Marketing well-received collections of pearl and diamond jewellery, they focus on servicing the higher echelons of our trade, although the breadth and versatility of their market-ready merchandise deserves even wider distribution.
Coverage is currently achieved by a Sales Agent in combination with the personal efforts of Head Office team members. It is felt that this could be more effectively undertaken in the future utilising the talents of an additional Northern Sales Executive.
The ideal candidate for this client should already have experience of selling jewellery merchandise, with an existing network of Independent Retail Jewellers to call upon throughout the region. That is not to say that experience of selling pearls is necessary; this of course can be learned under the highly capable tutelage of the business, with continuous guidance and support ever on-hand.
When covering such a wide-ranging territory, efficient and logical journey planning and appointment booking is of paramount importance to operational cost control, and here your prior experience on the road will serve you well.
This role comprises two main elements: managing the already established and prestigious accounts which are already supplied, and identifying and securing new product distribution opportunities.
Benefiting from your existing understanding of the local market, you will be able to pitch product perfectly to those buyers most likely to gain future advantage from marketing your brand’s precious items.
Incredible depth of knowledge exists within the business relating to their jewellery speciality, so whatever the retailer’s requirement might be, you will be able confidently to demonstrate how your employer is best placed to be their trusted and exclusive supply partner.
The recognition afforded by our client’s existing relationship with one particular Buying Group should serve you well, not just when approaching any Group members not yet supplied, but also when striding further afield on your continuing quest for new business.
Bi-annually you will have the opportunity to join your HQ colleagues at various Buying Events, where again you will enjoy all the support and infrastructure needed to enable you to maintain and grow your stockists’ accounts.
