Almost instinctive to knowing what is best of class they have wide interests ranging from production, international distribution, supplying other retail & wholesales brands as well as operating their own Boutique space. It is this latter area that of their own Retail Boutiques that they now wish to move forward and anticipate opening a number of further Central London locations very shortly.
Retailing has always excited this client and that’s not really surprising such is their consumer read and understanding as to which collections of jewellery are likely to sell well & best. Their industry is by nature very selective and in terms of ideal co-workers for the future there is required an innate sense of commerciality together with an ability to demonstrate trading flexibility.
Fast forward to 2022 and beyond there exists tremendous opportunity to possibly utilise the finally settled on trading locations in a more imaginative way than perhaps as ever previously been the case. Our client’s thoughts are really to push out to these trading points more customer reactivity/ connectivity by using more stridently Customer Relationship Management systems and social media to engage/more speedily react.
There are several HQ functions (i.e., product photography/image uploading & distribution) that can be pushed forward to the sales front line which will add to every store the ability to sell group inventory.
As the business continues to grow the client can foresee that originally appointed to job roles may need to change – it may be that whilst initially in a ‘retail space’ you could well progress to a differing remit still sales but as with the market now fast changing it could be in an E-commerce setting or a Customer liaison role either with Domestic/Internationally based trade buyers who likewise lean & trust on this entities mastery of their specific Jewellery area. So, the future in retail will be different…
You’ll need to be I.T fluent – used to using different software packages and many varied customer communication / interaction tools.
To comprehend and be at ease with all that would be entrusted & expected of you – you’ll need to be academically gifted and if there was a possibility of having more than one language that would be additionally advantageous.
