  • Working closely with the Business Leader you will have full responsibility for the commercial function, tasked with ensuring the department structure is fit for purpose for the needs of the business, making changes as required
  • Each team member to have accurate and up to date role summaries, employment contracts and monthly one to one meetings are carried out and documented with each member of staff by their immediate line manager
  • In conjunction with the Business Leader, set strategic KPIs, reporting against these measures
  • Full responsibility for managing, planning and delivering profitable company events, including but not limited to, two annual trade events
  • Implement and control CMJ Marketing strategy to achieve core goals and manage the relationship with Cognition to deliver the route to growth, PR plan and social media plan.
  • In conjunction with Membership Development Executive, strive to help achieve new member targets, together with maximising the spend from existing members
  • In conjunction with the team, foster close working relationships with all suppliers
  • Play a leading role in planning and delivering continued, profitable growth, whilst strengthening the focus on improved operational performance.
  • Leading the development of business strategy to ensure that both short and long-term company goals are met and exceeded.
  • Monitoring business performance and providing appropriate analysis and insight for areas of improvement and play a commercial role in profit improvement and company expansion.
  • Support the Business Leader on devising strategic plans and key business changes by providing a financial perspective and challenge decision making accordingly.
  • Assist in a range of ad hoc projects to ensure the success of the business.
  • Recommending ways to increase profit.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to all levels of the organisation.
  • Communicate Group Policies
  • To manage all of the company communication, database maintenance and ensure full roll out of Hubspot.
  • Manage the relationship with key editors and journalists to increase our visibility in the industry.
  • Lead the delivery of 4 x Facet Magazines per annum, at overall no cost.
  • To manage the company events calendar to plan which events to be present at and who to attend.
