Job Role:
Once appointed to the role you will continue the smooth and efficient running of the entire department including the line management & ongoing development of the collective service team.
Perhaps unusually in such a role you will actively look at ways you can promote your team’s artisan skills to both internal business stakeholders and indeed your wider local market of future service users. There is recognised to be great scope to build forward on service rapport once received which could quite possibly lead to additional aftersales briefings, repairs and renovations.
Team performance driven you will liaise with your retail-based department heads and the General Manager to ensure their customer service mission is ultimately delivered. You will be at ease with training & coaching your team members to ensure best use of staff resource and provide regular review opportunities so personal development can be carefully tracked.
Constantly knowledgeable of your business areas targets you ensure exemplary customer service to all clientele. All colleagues will draw benefit from your regular briefing as to the breadth of services that this business can offer – in short completing the ultimate purchasing/support promise that all patrons rightly should expect.
Your approachability never fades, and you will make time to support your colleagues to gain ever deeper understanding of the intricacies of your department’s workload and capabilities across a given time frame. Commercially you are appreciative of minimising non-productive bench work time whilst carefully controlling costs and optimising your business unit’s financial contribution.
Personally, you would always be looking to deepen your knowledge of your understanding of watches and jewellery. It is a wonderful asset to have being so trade advisory, educating clients as to the availability of craftsmanship who from their years of training can transform, resurrect and produce the required finished ready-to-wear perfection.
